your rain on my pane —

how easily you show me

what's below my dust

low tide —

all the pieces

I've abandoned

like succulent leaves

I preserve my better self

for worse days to come

late spring jogging —

the midge found its way

into my deadly eye

weeping willow —

another lonely soul

touches her old bark

black, no sugar

he says, turning to

his sweetheart

Saturday morning

she talks dirty to him —

the whole list of chores

 

rainy afternoon —

who builds the most

powerful weapon
