a symphony of angels

lead shepherds to witness

first Christmas

una sinfonia di angeli

conduce i pastori alla testimonianza:

primo Natale

infant king kept warm

by the breath of animals

mattress of hay

il re bambino è tenuto al caldo

dal fiato degli animali:

materasso di paglia

Nativity in stained glass

beams onto the pews

Christmas morning mass

la Natività nella vetrata

irradia fasci di luce sulle panche:

Santa's cigarette break

puffing away

the wishes that won't come true

November mall

the ho ho ho horrors

of Christmas shopping

firecracker time

boys counting

neighbours' F-bombs

mulled wine speaking the Christmas party

(sp)icing it up

grandpa's gingerbread woman

wears a bikini

Christmas market fight

in the air

the scent of punch

last office day

riding his business shirt

a herd of reindeer

kindergarten Xmas party

wrapping tinsel around

his first crush

mulled-wine seller

too much sugar

in his sweet talk

rough times

against my will humming

Christmas songs again

keeping warm

the skeleton on his porch

gets a Santa's hat

Christmas baubles

the little girl dabs on

her first glitter make-up

office festive vibes

she plucks all the berries

off the mistletoe

 

December shopping

to relax I play

the Nightmare Before Christmas

asleep at St Albans

awake at Bosworth field

the Hundred Years of hibernation

Christmas decor store

her husband's practised

smile and nod

December 1st

the boy's Advent calendar says

3 days to Xmas Day

December déjà vu

again it feels like
